Behold the crisp mist vanishing leisurely and ever gently
Like that of the sheerest curtain being softly draw away.
Revealing a hushed secret in the early morning's breath
As one shared only between the closest of friends.

A road well traveled hiding mysteries along it's shoulder
Beckoning life's weary hearts to look her well worn way.
Promising a rainbow of adventure to the dreamer in life
While offering hope for those who begin their end.

The tall grasses along the edges wave in the slight breeze
Meshing their slender bodies one with another in unison.
Rivers of wind send caressing ripples across flowered fields
And ancient watching trees extend welcoming arms.

This harmonious scene is reflective of heaven's holy breast.
Always eager to lovingly embrace the meek that shall inherit.
It is a tender smile, like that of a delicate rose blooming,
Adorned with a peace that passes all understanding.

The crunch of gravel beneath your carefully placed footsteps
Now pierces the silence, echoing onward while ringing clear.
These immortal moments engraved in time pass into memories
With no retracing once the song of life leaves your lips.

Completely beautiful! I absolutely loved this. You have captured your thoughts completely.

Lovely imagery presented here. The thoughts that emulate through my mind when i read this are consuming. In all this though, do I sense a dark undertone? Maybe it is just me. But wonderful write.

to dreamkeeper: I am thrilled you enjoyed this piece. Thank you.

to Sven: yea...I thought I'd share my wonderful self with ya'll. (teasing)
Thanx for the welcome. I didn't realized how fast this room moves.
How in the heck am I suppose to keep my replies to other's work
caught up?

to Paula Finn: Your sweet comment is most appreciated.

to Secret Whisper: Perhaps my name throws you off. And I do
write a few dark pieces. But there is no dark reflection meant
in this one. This is strictly upbeat. The end to an earthly
existence does not mean an end to life. In Christ...there is life
eternal.
