Wrapped In Quilted Art Together The rain comes down in gentle sheets Making the air clean and sweet A day to wrap up in quilted art Letting those worries in your heart Drift away so you can shine Even though you’re confined Indoors where you don’t want to be Even if out the window you can see Mother Nature’s realm of delight Now covered in snow-white All cozy and warm by fire you sit Conversing with lover very closely knit Reminiscing of times well spent Feeling in your hearts most content Drinking hot chocolate And eating sweetened crumpets Day passes by very slowly You don’t care cause it feels so homey Wrapped up together in quilted art Sharing I love you’s from the heart Thinking to oneself Glad it’s raining cause it would be no fun Doing this all by myself Going to have to remember today Next time I’m feeling astray Will not worry if it’s raining or snowing Cause in my heart knowing All it takes is two sweethearts All wrapped up in quilted art By, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. Oh Cerenity that quilted art you're talking about could be quite racy couldn't it? Yes and I can envision you curled up together...you paint a nice warm picture here... good work! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |
