My heart was restless,
with thoughts of you.
There wasn't any words between us that night,
Only the sighs of confused friends
And words of few.
We had an argument of the heart.
We had a fight.

I feel so foolish,
so lost and scared.
My eyes were beginning to ache
with salty tears.

I never thought we would argue
about love.
I never dared.
Withing a short time surfaced
Many of our unthinkable fears.

Please forgive me,
I am nothing without you.
You are my friend,
My jester,
and my judge.
I know to prove these feelings
I must start anew.
to let you know that I do love you.

I caused you so much unhappiness and pain
And in return,
You gave me nothing
but true understanding.
You always answered my calls;
You always came.
And it is to you
my heart
I am handing.

This heart carries a large weight.
At any given moment
It may become afraid.
Sometimes it may not answer the call of fate.
It can also feel the softes of pains
and the cut of a blade.

It need,
It wants love ever so desperately.
This heart is happy
But,
Only when with you.
And if you dig deep within yourself
You will reappear with the key.
This key will unlock my heart,
that is not always red,
sometimes,
a sad majestic blue.

When this key opens up my heart
You must let it be,
while it is sharing its laughter,
Its love and its cries
You must remember,
TO ACCEPT THIS HEART IS TO ACCEPT ME!

Filled with the writhing of an aching heart that has somehow hurt one who is greatly loved. Well done!
