I write on loss of love
So you will understand;
It's more the loss of inner self
That motivates my hand

In searching for my child
I wander hither, yon
My sanity is kept in writing
So I keep penning on

I write of loss of dreams
It's much easier to tell
Than speak of life torn at the seams
Or dwelling here in hell

In scrying out my soul
That's bound in bitter tears
Writing only makes me seem whole
And helps me bear the years

I write of loss of hope
Yet hope can more be found
More easier than the loss of me;
All my thoughts are bound

I seek the inner me
to motivate my hand
Cloaked in words of errant love
So you might understand

This may be one of the most insightful tributes to the pen that I have seen within these walls. Excellent creation from you describing where a flow of words may be birthed from. Well written in content and in it's rhythm.

Marsha,
you always think my poems are jewels is that why you're trying to bury me with work and get me back to my natural habitat. *GRiNS*

Mark,
It was what I felt at the time, I don't know about insightful, but it fitted me, or at least one of me.

2dalimit,
I would and I did

Kathleen,
I know love *HuGS*

Thanks for your kind words, when my eyes are blinded by pain it's nice to know your are there and that you care.

An excellent explanation of why we write... well done! *S*

And one day soon my hope is that
Your pen will share the tale
Of everlasting happiness
And a love that will never fail.

Yes! I feel the need to write as an extender of this life. How wonderful that i am not alone. Excellent write. Sorrowful yet hopeful.
