Reaching for your hand
I touch and clasp it to my heart
I open your fingers and take
The key back that I let go

You've done nothing wrong
You've not hurt me one bit
But I feel that I moved too soon
And now you've begun to regret.

I will be here when you need
I will do all that I can do
I will stand quietly in the wings
Cheering for you as you grow.

But as the phantom of the opera
Hid his hideous self from others
I shall do the same with my heart
It is vile and casts wrong impressions.

Don't be sad my dear
Don't regret what you've said
It's best we deal with this now
Than forever live in regret.

"You can't reason with your heart; it has it's own laws and thumps about things which the intellect scorns."
~ Mark Twain

Dear Friend of Mine,

I know your heart, and it is far from vile. Your heart is strong, sometimes probably more intensely strong than you like to know! (I can relate).

Hiding it from others is not the key though, the key is embracing who you are meant to be....not what you are meant to do....but the glorious person, heart, soul, spirit, that you are meant to BE!

With Love and Admiration for WHO YOU ARE!

Now there is a wise heart. The message of this was wonderful. I applaud!
