tonight, while horizons
are glazed with winter

and the future blurs
in icy windows

warm thoughts of you
begin to melt all reason

and through closed eyes
i travel the long distance

to that timeless spring
where a single flame

dances on water

NC, you always leave me thinking "I wish I could write like her!" I don't believe I've ever seen an overused cliche written by you. I think you're just stunning!

NC that's so very pretty and full of yearning love!

The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges.
