You Don't Know Me I wish that I could blow away into dust, bury my head in the sand, that life could be drained from my veins because you don't know who I am ~ ~ ~ I never knew that loving someone so much could lock me away in a crypt of unending shock, you betrayed me, Mama...for him, I've learned the hard way, now I know the cost ~ ~ ~ If only I could erase my face become the nothing that I am to drag across the moon with crushed wings then throw my spirit in quicksand ~ ~ ~ I wish that I could become the black on a grave, a cricket weeping in the dawn, I've crawled through dirt, bled through my eyes to make you see, but, you're too blind to hear my song ~ ~ ~ Living in this house of you versus me, how loud must I scream, how hard do I have to cry, what can I possibly do for you, to once again, know the real me inside? ~ ~ ~ How deep do I have to be cut, how much staleness do I have to swallow to finally make you understand how broken I am, how you've made memories seem hollow? ~ ~ ~ Mom, my hero, where are you? where is the woman that I once knew? I don't recognize you anymore, and you don't know me, just to make him happy, you've torn our bond in two ~ ~ ~ This is goodbye, I'll stand next to you in body, but, not in heart, I was a fool to believe that I found a best friend in you, but, we'll always have England, right?! wait a minute, that dream is dead too ~ ~ ~ I wish that I could blow away into dust, bury my head in the sand, that life could be drained from my veins because you don't know who I am *By Melissa Honeybee* The beauty of poetry gives my soul wings to fly free within dreams ~Melissa P. Melissa, I'll bet she couldn't write a poem like this. And your wrong she knows who you are and so do we. You are a flower that we paint our wings on and recieve necter from. You support a whole army of gossomer winged poets. Where would we go to rest if you were not there. |

"to drag across the moon with crushed wings" ============== my goodness Melis ... this is heartbreaking, honest, bleeding poetry... and you write raw emotions like few can this one just takes all my words... never let someone elses blindness take away your ability to see your own light... and listen to Sweet Sy... he is wisdom and truth hugs to ya sweetie... heal in your own words..in your own light. Strange ... the desire for certain pleasures is a part of my pain. ~Kahlil Gibran~ |

Oh wow! this hurts so much....sad and lonely.....the most important bond of all should never be broken....I feel the tremendous pain in this work.....take care ethome The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |
