"They Had a Love" They had a love A love that was built from being friends Together forever They pledged till the end That love grew It grew like a Rose does in Spring It took to flight On an Angel's wing Sharing the past parts of their life Trusting, though it was delicate as lace The one knowing she'd finally Finally found her place Both neglected from circumstances Life showed them hard abuse From the seeds of friendship That love blossomed and grew Then the lies and games Came rolling in...on an angry Sea She destroyed the love they had Finally killing thee... Yes this is me I speak of All I say is true Never in all the days did I realize I just never had a clue That you could be so hateful Breaking my heart without a care You promised that you'd always love me Saying our love was true and rare But my heart you have shattered Like a crystal chandelier But no longer shall these eyes of blue Weep for you a tear You took the love I gave you And crushed it...till it could be crushed no more The very soul of who I am You carelessly ripped and tore You know what my life has been How hard it was for me to trust another All the pain I've had to endure Especially the death of my Mother And now even still After all has been said and done You're out still to destroy my life As though you haven't begun What do you want from me? I gave you my every, my all I'd have done anything you wanted I was at your beck and call Sacraficing for you I lost the very essence of me Those chains that I thought you had broke Now choke me once more, no longer leaving me free Only now the chains are tighter The darkness giving way to light Once again I have to find the courage To pick myself up and fight How many times must one person Have to lose their entire heart To start anew again A new course they must chart Someday perhaps you'll understand The depth of what you did to me But somehow I seriously doubt it You're too caught up in you, now I see So now the time has come For me to say goodbye and go I wish that I had never met you Just thought I'd let you know Amy M. Amy dear heart, I thought I'd send this back to the top. Just because, it could be read by a few more I think! Your heart will mend love, someone out there is the one true heart for you. I know it. Trust me I work with doctors.  Admittedly not a very good reason, especially the way I think about them. Well, Aims...first of all, as usual, you have done an excellent job of expressing your hurt here...and second, everything happens in our lives for a reason, even if that reason is far beyond us. You, girlie, will come out of this a better person than you already are!
