In my moonlight meditations, I think of how things were- And wish, too late, that I had chosen you instead of her. I don’t even have your picture, but I guess that’s just as well, I’ll always see you as you were the night you cast your spell. Forgotten vows and promises, and plans that once we made- But lies, and lines, and alibis were once my stock in trade. When two are fools and break the rules, through love, or lust, or spite... Then rest assured the past comes back, to haunt you every night. Each day I’m growing older, I know not where you’ve gone- Nor who you spend your time with, as I lay here all alone... I trust that you are well now, I hope you’re doing fine- In my moonlight meditations, you keep strolling through my mind. |

Hi Gunslinger, It's so nice to see you and be reading the beauty in your words, moonlight has a way of bringing out memories from our past, wonderful poetry here, Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |

Slinger~ 'In my moonlight meditations, you keep strolling through my mind.' That is such a beautiful stroll that I've taken often ... Lovely thoughts from you this evening. *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

Dear Troubadour, is it really you?? I am recently returned as well, and am delighted to see your poem here tonight. This is superb. A classic piece of rumination. Thanks for it and hurry share another! Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |
