Blushing Moon By Richard Maxfield 2-23-2001 With the heat of a thousand fires Emotions burning hot with desire Fevered passion clasping entangled hearts Drips of sweat roll off silken skin Moisten hair trapped in wisps Bodies heaving in rhythm Cries of passion’s ecstasy As shadows dance by candlelight Rippling sensations cascading Nerves standing on end Screaming in pleasure’s content Fulfilled over and over again Though born apart Hearts beating as one Flesh uniting Spirits keen Lost in time and space Lovers dance to a hypnotic beat The moon blushes In envy |

Your poem is provocative but oh what a sweet ending! Nicely done, thank you. Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

Thank you dear for your comment. The poem was ment to be a bit on the hot side and end with a kiss. I may have done just that. Richard |
