Paradise Café The Night Of Sadie’s Ball

This is an invite to an event that you don’t want to miss
An evening of fun that’s guaranteed to get you that kiss
So come on you Passionate Poets put your best gear on
You’ve been invited to Sadie’s Bar to party loud and long
It’s the night of the year everyone who’s anyone will come
As for surprises I don’t want to spoil it but she has some
So Passionate Poets now come and party, come one and all
Tonight is the night of nights, Sadie’s magnificent ball

I can’t come with you I think I’d better meet you there
I told Sadie that the organising of this event I’d share
So I’ll be there with Sadie mixing Angels Kisses all night
How can you say that! I’ll not get an innocent angel tight
I know you’ve no idea where I learnt how to shake it so well
It was when I was dating that devil into wicked ways I fell
So Passionate Poets come on in and join us in the dance
Tonight is the night Sadie gives lovers’ another chance

I can promise you all that you’ll all enjoy it far more than I
Because I’ll be working trying to perfect my Heart’s Sigh
No it’s not that, it’s one of Sadie’s extra special drinks
She’s bet me I can’t do it but that’s only what she thinks
I know it’s got a mixture of rainbows and some starlight
If I keep on practicing, I’m sure that I’ll soon get it right
So I’ll see you all there, please make sure you’re on time
Sadie is very tolerant but at lateness she draws the line

Tonight is the night that lovers’ everywhere will dance
At the Ball tonight all sore hearts will get another chance
Love will be flowing and the drinks will taste of the kiss
You all know which one I mean it’s The Kiss you miss
Hearts that nurse secret loves will find their own dreams
And love will blossom becoming the promise it seems
Tonight Passionate Poets is your chance to reach out
Sadie is determined to spread her love all around about
