Sleepless at 3 a.m. I lay in my bed at night and try to sleep, slowly I drift into a sleep lingering and deep Then all the sudden at 3 a.m. I awake with thoughts of you I cannot get you out of mind, no matter how hard I try You are like an addictive drug, that I am hooked on Please let me go and set me free, or come back to me I can no longer take this torment, I hear your voice at night softly calling my name I know without you, I will never be the same It is a shame that our innocent love turned into a game. Why did you leave? Why did you go? Please don't answer because I already know I'm trying to get over you, I really am But I see you in my dreams, time and time again |

Grieving happens for many reasons, not just when there's a death. These nighttime wakenings are often a very great part of it. I peeked into this because I could most assuredly relate to its title. They do lessen as time goes by, hang in there. |

Isn't this the truth..they're still in our dreams and our thoughts...I think they go away when we can finally let go...James |

Sad poem. A good friend of mine is going through the same things. Some times I hear here crying in the middle of the night. Good luck. I hope everything works out for the best. I know that the best thing in my life came right after a terrible heart break. |

Not all the time James. . . they just come less and less. . . You must grieve. . . but it will end. . . from the heart Laura. . . ------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Distance and time will cure your heart. Just give it time. Well expressed. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |
