I've tried to hold your love with
Will and force,
Threats and lies.
I've tried to hold your love by
Breaking your spirit
And that I know was wrong.
I'm glad I never broke you,
though I know I've come very close.
Now I know,
After all these years;
I've finally learned.

If I had broken your spirit
To keep you.
I'd have also broken your love,
Your heart and soul.
I'm sorry I ever tried,
But I was affraid of losing you.
Though now I know I never could,
Because you've given me your love
And your heart freely.

I know know,
After all these years;
I've finally learned.
Love can't be held with
Will or force,
Threats or lies.
Love is given,
Only given;
Freely and willingly.
We've given our love,
Our hearts and our souls to each other.
I will always have you.
You will always have me.
Time and distance,
Life and death have no boundries in love.

James......yes love is a strength and power unto itself and it took me a long time to realize it!
