Torn Heart

After many years of loving just you,
you asked me to leave, I am forced to say adieu.
Just like our love that has gone its separate way,
So must we, don't look back, our life’s in disarray.

My heart feels torn and tattered,
I have explained this to you, but nothing mattered.
Your heart and mind belong to another far away,
I am so sorry that our marriage has gone astray.

I will take many memories with me when I go,
Not all bad for we did watch our children grow.
There were good times and bad,
Sometimes not realizing all the good that we had.

Torn, bleeding hearts will mend with the passing of time,
Families will forgive, it seems like such a terrible crime.
Life is not over for it still may be worth living.
You will have her, and I will seek a new beginning.

Ariana - very powerful feelings that you have, and I feel that you are torn. Your writing is so very beautiful, but at the same time so very sad. The Lord will place His hand on you.
