Raindrops Virginia Salter Raindrops keep fallin’ on my pet they make him awf’ly, awf’ly wet he wants to come in while I sit and spin a yarn or two upon the web But he leaves a paw print every where he does a stint an’ it’s sendin’ me outta my head Now most of you know from the word get go I keep my house spotless to a tee and those kitty-cat tracks really arch my back and put myself right next to me they cause my nose to grow when I make such a show for prevaricatin’ enters my poe’s you see So take these words as being quite absurd forgive my little fibs displayed as I easily admit I’m quite full of it I’m trustin’ you won’t be dismayed © September 10, 2000 |

Thanks, Elizabeth, for reading. Glad you enjoyed! I have fun writing about my particular 'art' of non-housekeeping. ;o} |

This was sweet Virginia. I'm a messy one ... I just let the tracks fall where they may, I'm just grateful to have the little feet that make them, LOL ... great poem! Best wishes, /Kit |

LOL I think there's a lot of that going around, much to the chagrin of our ancestral generation. |
