Artistic Interpretation < !signature-->Cast your eyes over this very picturesque scene Now tell me just what to you does all this mean It depends on who's perspective that you choose But before in poetic fervour yourself you lose Let's look at this scene one piece at a time Before we discuss the artistic use of shaded line This picture of a woman sitting by a stream Would it help for you to know that this is a dream Or where the artist has decided to place this Would it help to know if she's crying or in bliss Do you need to know the story to feel its flow Or by just looking at it can you feel her glow So this painting is one of the artists' River Set Painted by him, he said, in the Land of Regret The river you see here is the River of Tears This stretch ends in that huge waterfall of Fears Where I can tell you many a visitor has leapt After they found promises hadn't been kept The vale this is set in is known as Lost Dreams A very beautiful but lonely place to me it seems There's a bridge, although you can't see it here The angles and the perspective is all wrong I fear It's known to all as the bridge of The Eternal Sigh And although it's rickety it leads to Hopes High Those hills in the distance are the Welcome Hi And it is from there that the Rainbow Smiles fly Now what can you tell me about this pretty scene What does it tell you about this artists theme Do you think he portrayed himself or his soul If it's his portrayal then what is the woman's role To me this picture tells a story that's ever young It talks to me of the songs that hearts have sung The painting gives hope even while it shows pain How although love hurts its loves gift you gain See how the woman's face shines with loves' light How in this you can she her spirit has taken flight So go away and study this painting for it's true gift Look deep within it, see beyond it, feel hopes lift Understand into every life a little rain must fall And you must always be ready to hear loves call This painting isn't necessarily one of loves' despair It's more truthfully one of truth and dreams care Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 01-12-2001).] |

Kari love, Bravi ? yes dear heart but is it a stretch? It was the only way I could think of doing it, turn it into an object. Yes I did have to think, oh Kari love, you know I thank you, don't you love. Now can I rest on my laurels, and no love I won't crush them, (the very idea!)< !signature--> Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 01-13-2001).] |

*Is in awe* Gawrsh! I'm an artist myself and you painted a very beautiful picture with words alone! Wonderfully done! --Artistic-- "Dreams are the touchstones of our characters" -Henry David Thoreau |

Circe love, I thought you might, more Mushy stretching exercises I shall be stretched out soon, or 27 feet tall whichever happens sooner. I feel like that guy in the Great Escape, the one that jumps on the bunk beds after Hills has taken all the wooden slates out. (Goodness I've not worked so hard since I was a vir.....tually innocent 16 ) But it is good for me, but if I don't do it without a mutter mutter mutter, they think I'm enjoying it. Take care kid Mushy Paula love, rise to the challenge, I'll fall off this rise in a minute and then where will I be. I'll tell you, stretched out, prostrate dear heart that's where. Take care love Mushy Challenges, great Scott! Artistic, thank you very very muchly, I do appreciate it truly. Take care Marsha < !signature--> Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 01-13-2001).] |
