Did My Heart Pass? Did my heart pass your little test? Tell me love was I simply the best? Were the colours that shone in me? The one’s you wanted them to be? Did my eyes reflect back my soul? Did bathing in it make you whole? Was it the promise of my delight? That pulled you into this my night Did my eyes ever lie once to you? Tell me for I know they are true What of the promises they made? Were they speaking to be betrayed? Shutting them against their pain Hoping desperately not to be again Why did my eyes believe their stare? Did they know that you don’t share? Did my soul get its questions right? Tell me why it still seeks your light? Where are all its dreams lying now? I can’t resurrect them tell me how? Dreams that glittered in your sun When this our love had just begun Why is the question with no reply? Did it know it had lost its own sigh? Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

The challenge, as you shall accept it, my dear, is to write the answers to all of these questions, because....we want to know! |

This is good! And I hope you get those answers...but I think, since you wrote this with so much feeling, that you already know the answers. |

Not only lots of questions, but good questions. It reminds me of someone I used to talk to on the 'net who proposed to me and several others at the same time, and then actually wanted us all to take a test. (I flunked. LOL) You shouldn't have to pass a test or change in any way to be worthy of love, and as has been mentioned, I think you know that. You did give me something to think about though. To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

Marsha, Men and women speak different languages; Now,I have learned if my wife asks me if I like her hair to always respond positively because the question goes far deeper than just the outer appearance... ...the answer I give goes straight to her heart and it is not ever worth breaking her heart over having a mildly bad hair day... Her question with translation is "do you love me as I am?" Anyway, you may still be loved even if not all the quetions are answered correctly. Bob <>< |
