With a kiss, I said goodnight. Never to see her again. How many times did our lips touched? But this time, it was our last. If I had known, I would have kissed her longer, to show her how much I loved her. With a kiss I said, goodnight. I never knew it would be our last. If I had known I would have never left her. Because while we kissed she could have lived forever. A quarter of a century must pass, for the writer to understand what and why he writes. |

It's all for the best Walker...a kiss is one of the most magical things that can take place between a man and woman (most cases) ....it's time to find one that appreciates that kiss the same way you do!....I enjoyed reading this! The poet is like a cocoon; in him the caterpillar of the past finds rest, and from him the butterfly of the future emerges. |

If I understand this piece, I'm sorry for your loss. I just thought of a line from a song, "How do hold you a grain upon the sand?" That line and your poem make me think of an hour glass, until all the grains have passed, not one can be held back. It's a bit like raising a child...we are eager to watch them grow and learn, yet there's such great loss when we can no longer hold them to our heart...physically. We can only hold them to our hearts spiritually the remainder of our days. Beautiful poem of love, walker. |

If we only ever knew when the present is seconds away from becoming a memory. |
