CursedAs kindling takes to sudden spark, the hour insists on tempting night. It tiptoes over oaken dark and echoes round a cold invite. Pull shutters to, from branch's thrash, as copper kettle finds the flame. A cup brought down from cupboard's cache, some tea to ease the chills of shame. For in these sleepforbidden times, a suitor now, this quiet curse. Alone, he hears my pleasures climb, his spirit sent to feast and nurse. While I, impassioned, ache for dawn soft fingers grip in rhythmic throes, each keystroke's pressing, on and on, til finally, my poem flows. Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

"Sleepforbidden times" A heart sinking wondrous line inspires so many memories you speak in language universal My thanks for your insight. And my compliments. AT "Time is merely change. It neither enslaves nor determines us. It is instead our opportunity for self-definition" |
