When I Have Thoughts of You (Inspired by the Ray Noble Lyric below) (if you know the tune – both can be sung to it) When I have thoughts of you Just simple thoughts of you Those simple thoughts just blow And throw my mind away Till I feel your glow Before I knew the charm of your smile I didn't really know a happy hour But you came my way a cloudy day And I floated through the shower For I just think of you My view’s so clear of you I worry so that you may go And I’ll never be near to you Yet you’re with me every hour Turned my life to sweetest dreams So simple thoughts of you I’m so caught up in you Keep me from feeling blue You’re my love The Very Thought of You - (Ray Noble - circa 1934) The very thought of you And I forget to do The little ordinary things That anyone ought to do I'm living in a kind of daydream I'm happy as a king And foolish though it may seem To me ... it's everything The mere idea of you The longing here for you You'll never know how slow The moments go Till I'm near to you I see your face in every flower Your eyes in stars above It's just the thought of you The very thought of you My love Great souls have wills; feeble ones have only wishes. ~ Chinese Proverb ~ |

Bill I have this with Nat King Cole singing it and I love it. I have to say sir that your lyric when considered that way becomes alive and full of a rich musical love... not that it wouldn't be good on its own....just wonderful work Bill ! |
