The Lonely Heart… In the evening’s hour you sit in darkness thoughts of discarded hearts haunt your exile once a desired lover demanded by your captive audience you now live and breathe the lonely existence of a dreary hermit tried and judged by your own conscience you have been sentenced to feel the glacial touch of an ice cold hand upon your heart, never having the true warmth of love to call your own… for it is always at a distance… Annie Lehberg achildsheart 02-12-01 May your dreams always dance to the rhythm of a lover's heartbeat... |

A whisper's Caress, beautifully done! I can't write free verse but I love it when it's well crafted as this it. Write on Kethry Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen. |

Hi Whisper's Caress, This is very sad, but I hope you in the future will find a warming of the heart, wonderful poetry here. Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |

thanks for the great replies to this. Serenity, thanks, but this was not about me, just people in general who take love for granted, then end up sad and alone. thanks again everyone!!! May your dreams always dance to the rhythm of a lover's heartbeat... |
