SNOWY DAYS AND THURSDAYS
(Shall Not Get Me Down)

A Ditty from way, way, way, way back

When Melancholia makes you frown
Reach deep within your soul,
For Happiness lies there deep down
Just takes a slight cajole

Yield not to weight of gravity
The choice is yours to make
With focus spent on levity
A light heart shall partake

Let not those burdens callous thee;
Take charge of them instead.
Cast out those wretched thoughts and see
You'll cheer your troubled head!

Loved the poem!

Dr. What is your butt doing on the roof? And why can't you get it off without a shovel? HMMMMMM

"yield not to weight of gravity"

Indeed, how to battle the lines drawn of life in its vagaries.

Yet on into the fray again and again we throw ourselves.

Thought inspiring words, you bring.

Well, here it's sunny days and Fridays !
Yahoo !

Enjoyed the happy mood-set of your piece.
I'm smiling !

Of course it was only 81 here today so the gloomies don't stand a snowball's chance in Florida !

Sometimes, in spite of our best efforts, we need help lifting the gloom... which is why I cherish the smile-givers. *S* This gem cheered my head considerably!!! (But what's snow? *G*)

I started reading with 'Karen Carpenter's' voice ringing in my ears - and of course counted my blessings as I looked out my window to clear skys and pavement

But I'm replying because you've lifted my spirits - pure and simple~S~

Nancy - you mean it only snows on a Thursday at the Cape, in the pale moonlight? H'mmm, does that mean a snow shovel, for that special day? Today is 70 degrees, here in Alabama. hehehe
