I wrote this thinking about a little girl who was murdered at the age of 3 by a 13 year old boy it sadened me to listen to the news report on the tv. " Now Gone " Tiny hands, tiny feet Pitter, patter down the hall A sound familiar Now gone Smiling faces, Laughing Toys all over the floor A sight seen many times Now gone Soft hugs, sweet kisses Jumping on mum's lap Feelings shared Now gone Messy hands, dirty feet Making Mud pies out in the puddles A vision seen in the rain Now gone Tears, bumped knee's You'd run to your mum Band-Aids on skin, once there Now gone Taken pieces, parts missing Many memories remembered Chance to be written Now gone |

Brought tears to my eyes.........You've captured the essence of a 3 yr old beautifully. To capture and live a moment is truly living |

this is heart wrenching. . . sadly told. . . ------------------------------------------------------ To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Whiskey, I remeber this, so tragic. loved your poem Maree I may know the word but not say it I may know the truth but not face it I may hear a sound a whisper sacred and profound but turn my head indifferent. Natalie Merchant [This message has been edited by Dark Angel (edited 03-11-2001).] |
