I trudge through a harsh, barren desert, I mirages are blurred by the waves of heat, I swim through a calm blue cove, The rapture of this comfort will never cease. I hike through the humid tropics, These passing trees are dying away, My breath turns to steam, snow coats the great trees, The spirits of winter are here to stay, Among the lone wolves of this hill, Redressed in the miracles of briarwood sage. The eternally spanning crests of forever, I watch the leaves fall off the trees, And the rain turn into snow. The clouds in the sky drift painfully fast, Too fast for the likes of me. I always seem to go about pitying myself; and all the while I'm being carried upon the grace of great winds. |
