Midnight Dance It seemed no matter the distance I could somehow find you And, every breath just eased my pain I would dance every time I closed my eyes at night And, still I would dance even under life's hardest rains... To live was so hard and all I ever played in my mind I needed a piece of yourself that you promised to me So, I'd take the midnight dance across the silver moon And, wait patiently to find you there in my dreams... Now, I still travel but rarely do our paths ever cross And, I lower my head in what you led me to believe You promised me you'd always be the brightest star God made Yet lately your light has been so hard to see... Tonight I'll take my midnight dance all around the world And, walk all shores the Lord lets me find I'll find warmth in it's waters and that turquoise sea In the hope you'll meet me there one more time... I'll be there with my feet buried in the sands with each step And, I'll be singing familiar words I've heard you say I'll be reliving moments we used to have in the night And, praying the tides bring you to me again someday... I hope you find in your heart the love we once had And, when the moon smiles I hope you catch a glance Always I will look for you when my eyes close at night And, always at midnight I will surely dance... Saun Sauni :) Have you ever known the color grey when the nighttime finds you weak I have, I've walked that road each time; that's where my angel sleeps |

This is wonderful Saunni!! *sigh*. . . a wonderful portrait of a dance that we all know. . . -------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Your words took me to that place, walking in the sand, the warm ocean breeze, the moon 'smiling' overhead, but walking alone. Beautiful, sad poem. I hope who your missing meets you there 'one more time'. I am new here but look forward to reading more of your poetry. |

Sven, thank you for reading my poem. I put a lot of love behind this one also. Thanks again. JLR, thank you also for reading my poem. I am hoping also that the person I am talking about in here is easy to find again. It seems the harder I look, the harder it is to find this person. Thanks again and hope you enjoy this site. Your love in this piece shines brilliantly. Such a wonderful read. Nice to see you gracing these walls with your works again. If you find yourself stranded in a storm ...then reach for my hand and we will play in the puddles together |
