Koi, Emperor of Pond He is the emperor of Pond And so easy to be fond of With his elegant grace Will he be praised Showing beautiful colours Losing myself for hours When I watch these creatures Wondrous gift of nature Living jewels from Japanese realm Always swimming majestic calm With names like Kohaku or Bekko Likewise Kinginrin and Tancho It depends how colours has been drawn Upon the body of Koi's underground White on red, or red on white Maybe some black for a lovely sight But what ever their colours will be They are real emperors for me. To lose oneself in a pond of koi . . . I know how that can work. Thanks for sharing. Interesting approach to end rhyming. Kraw' |
