Drift Away As you slowly drift away, my eyes watch you. My arms outstretched. My lips calling out your name, begging you not to go. As you slowly drift away, my heart randomly grasps at the memory of shared love. I want desperately to hold on, I'm not capable of letting go. As you slowly drift away, my soul screams your name, ripped apart by denials and excuses, left so alone and so lost while searching for it's other half. As you slowly drift away, my mind refuges to accept the reality and the pain that threatens to completely dominate my every sense... my every nerve. As you slowly drift away.... I feel my spirit... slowly die. |

Rosepetals, this is so sad, drifting and fading are like little deaths. *HuGS* Kethry Those of us who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life. Patty Hansen. |

RosePetals~ Sending *hugs* ... This is a poignantly written piece of a sad heart. The spirit will live again - to love again. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |

I agree so much with Marge. Life will go on. And our hearts, being ever so wandering, will live and maybe even love again. Loved this one CD |

Touched my heart, my reality. But I must say goodbye to mine. Thank you for the strength. |

So powerful and yet so sad. I can feel the pain coming through your words. May you write to heal and may you heal to write. Well done. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

I can definitely relate to the feeling. Sorrowful and wonderfully expressed. I enjoyed the read. "Every man dies. Not every man lives." -Tim Robbins |

I would like to thank everyone for stopping in and reading. I know my poetry has been on the downside lately. I thank you all for letting me share the pain I'm going through with such open arms. I return all the hugs a thousand fold. Thank you. |
