Now I write things run through my head words that should and shouldn't be said as I sleep where dreams can't go words and words and words still flow damn this lost separation of night and day grabs my emotions, I start to fray yielding now, to win or lose this fight I pick up the pen and again I write pour out my soul on white blank pages come to terms with myself, small stages within bitter darkness I become a sleuth I now face myself, staring out at truth |

What you say in the end of this is the hardest thing to do. To face the truth about one's self. Effective writing, Lady! I love it! "This above all-ask yourself in the stillest hour of your night:MUST I write? Delve into yourself for a deep answer. Rainer Maria Rilke from "Le |

Writing is powerful and theraputic, it's helped me alot; and when you look back at what you have written, sometimes it is as though "I now face myself, staring out at truth" Jon |

Brutally honest. Maybe someday I'll have the courage to grow up and be you. Hit home hard! |

You have said a ton here. In the end, we all have to face ourselves and come to terms with who we are. Well done. ![]() LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Wow! Well penned, great flow and rhyme, and I do relate. The truth isn't always kind, but most often it is necessary for the soul, even if it paints a dark picture~ Take care, Melissa~ |

This is a thoughtful and courageous composition. I often think I write to let others see me, but you are undoubtedly right that it is a good way to see ourselves. I love it when you people make me think! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |
