Omigosh - is this forum ever addicting...cannot believe its speed...one more toss for now, then I MUST get on with the rest of my day, LOL! ********************** Dear Spring, how I long for the warmth of your hug, for the touch of your innocent grace; I'm weary of winter - the thump of his brawling, his bitter shards scarring my face. At times I imagine I'm hearing your footsteps.... they're tiptoeing close to my door; but when I peek out, it's the grumble of winter still stubbornly trying to roar. I shut my eyes tight, see the lilt of your smile as it bounces from flower to tree; I know that your spirit belongs to the world but I feel that you're dancing for me! I wonder, dear Spring, if you know how you're cherished - how precious the sound of your voice? Who else sprinkles ecstasy, freshens each corner, makes mountains and valleys rejoice? When whispers are gathered, my envelope sealed, and the pale curtain finally drawn, if you, dearest Spring, could be holding my hand, I'll not fear for the season beyond. *********************** Here in snowy Alberta, we are yearning for Spring! Hi Lary, First I would like to welcome you to Passions, secondly awesome I loved this, I being from sunny California cannot relate to the harshness of winter and today its in the 80's which is not normal for early Feb. but enjoyed never the less, I wish an early spring for you, wonderful poetry here. Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |

Enjoyed your words..Nothing like Springtime to make one glad they are alive. ~V~ A poem is never finished, only abandoned. - Paul Valery (1871-1945) |
