In Elizabeth's response to my "Oh, Gladsome Tide" this evolved. Ode to a Cloudy Sky Virginia Salter Oh, cloudy sky as you roll by might we expect of you a promise. Though you block out the sun in the morning’s run might you fill our chalice? To look to you for cleansing, for spirit-filled relief in the soothing of a shower to heal, allay our grief? Though gray and gloom may fill the room and tempt to thwart our lives to rise above a featherless dove, to miraculously survive! © January 30, 2001 |

This is beautiful! I don't think I've ever inspired a poem before, so thank you Virginia! |
