Snow Sweet to Spring [Sonnet IV] snow flake, whence be thee cast, oh see, come see! crystal blanket to fit this grass, to welcome Spring haven earth in quilt, oh yes, this so cold a night and in shimmering morning gilt, a golden crystal light large, large lambent lace, round and round then grace this smile, this laugh, this figure and oh, joyful face and pelt me not in crystalline but in soft, sweet serene would I then, in dreamlike state, be earth's snow queen cling then I to yon tree, in glittering frost white, do drape to last of leaves, I melt, do I, till melted tear escapes round and round in prudent fall do I, to crepe all scenery till then in glow of orb do I, grace all verdant greenery for every season, comes a reason, for this winter white to glace a pool, to grow a green, in a summer light 01.29.01 Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Sunshine, a very beautious write. Love the concept... and that pic reminds me of my little piece of property in the woods of mid northern Ontario. Its very thick with snow right now and my little cabin is covered too. Parker |

Sunshine, this sings so beautifully - it is truly a symphony, and touches all our senses. I am overwhelmed by the depth of the poetry on this site...I stopped by last June for just a moment - before my life upheaved. It has circled around again, for a period of calmness and I hope, rejuvenation. I am looking forward to getting acquainted! Lary |

Kari love, you do sonnets like they are easy peasy, and I know they're not. Well, not to me they're not. This is an absolutely beautiful piece and I'm not saying I wish I'd writen this because I couldn't love. It would be like me saying I wish I could walk on water, no point in wishing for the moon dear heart. I shall just enjoy the beauty and tell you how wonderful it is. Fantastic love, an absolute gem Take care as always love Mushy Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Parker, Laryalee, Marsha...thank you...but today I learned that this is not a true sonnet...so we will call it a poem...and I will work on crafting a true sonnet...down the line... [but I still like the words...LOL] [This message has been edited by Sunshine (edited 01-30-2001).] |

Its still a beautiful write. I'm sure you could do some minor changes for it to fit in with the rules and still retain this. Those damn sonnet rules. Rules...we don't need no stinking rules. Parker. |

And he said "Beautiful." Live for love. Without love, you don't live. |
