*~Golden Wings and Spider Webs~* There is a time once every year When the moon in full does appear On this night of special treat A band of fairies seek retreat Towards the earth from the moon they go To feast in joy and celebrate galore Among the fairies was one named Dusty Whose wings of golden twinkled most brightly He led the fairies along their path Of twinkling stars to earthbound grass Amid the forest of moonlit evergreen Upon a bed of meadow serene Fairies sipped on nectar sweet Of daisies and violets purple and pink They chased each other merrily Twirling around bush of ripened raspberry Alas lil Dusty grew tired and weary Curling up his wings he rested a bit early Nestled there in crotch of willow tree Dusty took a short nap and fell asleep The band of fairies soon forgot Dusty sleeping at willow tree crotch So they left before the sound of crow In flight back towards the moon they soared Soon enough the song of birds was heard And slowly rising was sun of amber glow Opening his eyes Dusty looked around He tried to jump but was tied down Attempting to set himself free He realized he was caught in something And innocently he let out a cry Awakening above him a furry black Spider The Spider gently comforts him And in a flash flicked its delicate web Now set free Dusty gazed above Seeing no stars wondered where is the path Spider leaned close to Dusty's ear And in a moment all became clear Spreading his wings now in flutter His heart will guide him to lunar shelter There upon trail of sunrise golden Dusty soared with wings lustrously glowing Back to the moon to rejoin his friends In the world known to me as fairy land... *~coco~* |
