Aurora in Phases

Aurora

go before, go before and know ye, the terminology of Aurora
goddess of the dawn, go ye before and know the yawn
of mystery, known of the stars, that then encircle ye
and know that she, O but she, brought on the winds to sea……

out spread of fingers, rose of glow in the light of morn
seek ye all that would, shall be, and could then yet be born
for like is it then in this the cup of thee, and morning dew
the youth of which if proper, then belongs to you….

Aurora

thy swiftest of light enter into this my soul
into an aura of brilliance, to gleam, then to glow
for the Sun has risen, and in northern lights, behold
that which images are replete, go forth then in gold

but stop now, nay! yet ye go on forth
to seek peace in those vast reaches of the north
Aurora! I call thee….tho once ye be the dawn of Sun
I call to thee, I call….and yet as a whisp of ye, be gone…

in my search, in my search, I see thee, O beguiling one
Aurora, I would be thee….for thee seekest but one
in thy grip of thy search, to seek the love that's gone
but for a moment's brilliance, then to wander on….

O Aurora….I would seek thee in all of circumspect
this homage I would pay thee, in all of greatest respect
for the light of thee, the light, that I would give to one
traverses all jet streams, only to worship the Sun…

trust, and treasures, would be only retrospect
in cameo I've given, that which would reflect
one love, one love, that which might only be….
if my love, this one true love, saw the heart of me….

Karilea~
Aurora ... the very name is beauty, isn't it ?

You've given brilliance the light.

Can't begin to describe the thoughts running through my head ...
Suffice it to say - *sighing*

Sunshine-
Love this, and the way you presented it, images are always a treat.
Enjoyed the read.

it is said a picture is worth a 1000 words - - then truly we've 1000's of words PLUS your exceptuional poem - I'm in total awe -
I've seen the Northern Lights but once in real life - I think I was about 7 years old - Nothing to compare to these photographs -
AND - my poor poem of today 3/1/01 - truly pathetic in comparison - This TO MY TREASURE BOX!

My...my...I have seen the Northern Lights, and my dear lady you had captured them without the pictures. If this is a new venue for you as I notice by the comments, trust me you are on a roll! This was stunning, in presentation, visual imagery, and my mind's eye did travel far to the reaches of the lights of the soul, thank you for a truly exception piece of poetry.
