(inspired by Emily Dickinson) There grew a little violet In grasses green and tall So delicate, hardly invisible This flower was so small. It tried so to be noticed But everyone passed by And it was all the flower To tell itself not to cry. Until the say when someone came And saw the purple bloom And picked the little violet To brighten up the gloom. March 1999 |

I remember this poem as well as the Emily Dickinson poem that inspired you to write it. And I like them both! |
