Quietly Heard the coming home part of my day is strictly personal the moment I bare the raiment of my outer soul and divest the coverings of strict to don the comfort of soft and gather yielding material to warm the skin and in so doing a mental seeking to comfort the inner me as well then after only enough nutrient to feed the body I take favored pen and stroke the feel ~balanced~ ~smooth and sleek~ it fits my hand so well and allows me to feel ~ ~ graceful ~ ~ the first time of the day that I feel like a scholarly lady and of course I do not think as fast with pen as I do with keys clicking but ponder more ~ it is most rewarding because thoughts of how others would pen the next line comes to me and I visit with them momentarily here in the softness of my robed moment and visit mentally serving tea or wine and I might use crystal or plastic but no one will mind, and amid much laughter of good times yet to be shared I may even laugh out loud for a brief moment alone at this picture in my mind for there are many of you in my room just now the soft chattering of all the poetic voices are causing me to relax and become the quiet soul that I really am because listening is an art and one that I might be perfect in and have perfected in as I am still the shy duck I've always been so in the comfort of my robe here in the thought of all of you whom have comforted the inner me I come and write thank you for giving me a place to place my silent voice so that I may quietly always be heard Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Karilea, you have just put me in there with you. These words are so clear and the setting so perfect and your thoughts so open and sincere I can feel you writing them. You have painted a beautiful, quiet, tranquil and almost reverent scene with this poem and I am very happy to be there with you... |

Wonderful and very well written, Sunshine, and quite jealous here as I was going to write a piece in this same direction (the coming home part of my day) but you have so grabbed and run with and extended it that my miserable thoughts are buried in the footsteps of your passing. Jealous yes, but sad, no, because I would much rather all eyes see this than my miserable attempt. **Accolades aplenty** my friend. jwesley |

Kari, this is wonderful, and I've got the perfect spot for this gathering of poetic souls. Opposite my house is an orchard, well actually there are three, but there in the orchard in whatever weather would be sublime. And for those who don't like the rain constantly pouring down on them there's an oast house right in the middle of the orchards. This really is a beautifully written and utterly wonderful piece of work. I really love this. Now anyone for cider, perry or a good old fashioned cuppa. It's an orchard what else would I offer? Take care Majestic Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Oh, Sunshine. This was so peaceful. One of the most graceful, beautiful poems I've read in a long time, I mean it. I too was sitting right there with you. God bless. I have to go print this now. Joy Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old time is still a-flying, And this same flower that smiles today To-morrow will be dying. -Robert Herrick |

but see Sven, in this setting no need for a microphone, everyone is pleasantly relaxed, and the poetry flows....thank you... Marsha, what is an "oast" house? Now you've colored me curious...so thanks for the invite to the orchard, sounds like a wonderful place...{~,^} Joy, you've printed this? Wow! Thank you! Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... Kari, an Oast House, they were the houses built for drying the hops. (Hops are used to make beer.) This being Kent and there being loads of hop gardens about, there had to be the houses where they dried them. They're sort of round in shape, a bit like a tower. I'll try to look out a picture of one and send it to you. And if I can't find one I'll go and take a pic for you. And you're welcome Kari, I think you would like it too. Take care Majestic Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |
