S i l l i n e s s Virginia Salter silliness oh, overtake me fill my heart with gladsome glee gaiety don’t under bake me mirth is where I want to be spontaneity don’t forsake me in my dealings as I proceed it’s December of thirst do slake me tinsel up my heart I plead adorn my arms as tannenbaum in spirited frivolity lace my eyes with twinkling ardor stretch my lips with hilarity Christmas spirit enliven tongue and the soul deep in me let the world know joy inhabits every inch and cell of me lighten my steps tender my touch sweeten my kiss deliciously let me not celebrate the blessings one ounce staid or stoically © December 1, 2000 |
