~No Matter How The Dark The Night~

Though winds of change may blow ... and carry you from the light,
though troubled times may befall ... and take you from my loving arms so tight.
though tears of sorrow may rain down ... and dark clouds take away your sight,
you need only to reach out and find me here ... no matter how dark the night.

Let my love make your strong ... let me take all that is wrong and make it right,
let my love be your clarity ... make your truths read like black and white.
Let me be the wind beneath your wings ... be the moment when you take flight,
let my love be the light that guides you home ... no matter how dark the night.

May I be your inspiration ... be the reasons that you write ...
to be your cadence and rhyme ... your poetic words to recite.
All that your heart desires ... allow your anticipation to excite,
let your quiet comfort be found in me ... no matter how dark the night.

For no matter how lost you feel ... my love can be a beacon shining bright,
find your own reflection in my eyes ... then see your self thru my insight.
Let my love carry you home ... be when your spirit and soul reunite,
Find your way back to you ... thru me ... no matter how dark the night.

No matter how dark the night ...

Janet Marie

No matter how dark the night, I know that this cowboy for sure could find your beacon of light in even the thickest of fog and clouded skies.  JM my friend, this is so beautiful and knowing your heart the way that I do, well, it is suffice to say that I have no doubt that just thought of you would and could and DOES inspire nothing but sincere calm and peace in all you touch.  Truely a lovely write my friend and believe me, I know and you know that I know.  Hugs to you baby.

These have to be some of the most beautiful lines I have read lately!  Excellent writing, JM!  Gorgeous pic, too!

I always find my way back to me through you ..
you're a poetic sweetheart in the world of rhythum and rhyme...
you're the relief I feel when I'm losing my mind....
but most of all your the special expression that helps me unwind.....
and the words just flow out of space into time........
I'm so glad to have you as a special poet friend....especially in the darkest of nights.

Why do we never get an answer
when we're knocking at the door
with a thousand million questions
about hate and death and war
when we stop and look around us
there is nothing that we need
in a world of persecution
that is churning in its greed.

it's not the way that you say it when you do those things to me
it's more the way that you mean it when you you tell me what will be
and when you stop and think about it you won't believe it's true
that all the love that you've been giving has all been meant for you.

I'm looking for someone to change my life
I'm looking for a miracle in my life
and if you could only see
what it's done to me
to lose the love I knew
to say that we were through.

between the silence of the mountains and the crashing of the sea
there lies a land I once lived in and she's waiting there for me.
but in the grey of the morning my mind becomes confused
between the dead and the sleeping and the road that I must choose.

I'm looking for someone to change my life
I'm looking for a miracle in my life
and if you could only see
what it's done to me
to lose the love I knew
and safely lead me to
the land that I once knew
and as we grow old
the secrets of our soul.

It's not the way that you say it when you do those things to me
it's more the way you really mean it when you tell me what will be.....

why do we never get an answer
when we're knocking at the door
with a thousand million questions
about hate and death and war
when we stop and look around us
there is nothing that we need
in a world of persecution
that is burning in its greed

These wishes are special
Unselfish, no greed
Just a plea to fulfill
Someone's every need.
Unconditional love -
A desire to give
The best that you are
As long as you live.
Your desired reward
His happiness -
This poem has touched me
I freely confess.

JM,
Just came back for another look, it's as good this time around, but led me down a different path so here my leaking muse. JFY.

What's the point of sunrise it only gives off light
we also need the shadows and depth of darkest night
we need them both, for balance to bind our hearts aright
what's the point of daylight without the endless night.

What's the point of sunshine without the wash of rain
how can we expect to grow without the sting of pain
how can we learn to soar, unless we've loved in vain
what's the point of windglow without our wing's bane

Write on,belong
Keth
