Have Never Did you say back there, that you were going to read me? I saw the way the corner of your foot, brushed the leaves, dry. Your head weighted, heavy with knowing, tangled in the view, I always knew. Like some kind of singer I tasted the world and reading me was such a chore, that interest, escaped. And across this space, through these naked trees, your stance says so many things to me. Then I realize, that as I run my eyes over you, synchronizing our breathing, finding feelings and seasons swirling, that I,... have never stopped, reading you. |
