A Lingering Touch… As people come into our lives they place their hands upon our hearts tapping on the pulse of our yearning for acceptance as our rhythm alters it’s song to accommodate these hands we come to adhere to such sweet caress our breathing times itself to the gentle stroking of massaging fingertips as they offer sustenance to our souls as we live in this warm embracement of our spirit we wake each morning knowing our hearts are held in a safe nesting place high above the perilous ground of emotional predators as the winds of change encompass our lives we suddenly find these hands have been carried away by the gusty gales of abandonment as our hearts are cast to a cold isolation we bear the gentle radiance of a lingering touch and endure in the warmth of the imprint forever left upon our hearts Annie Lehberg achildsheart 11-29-00 Look within the heart of a poet, and you will see a reflection of their soul. |

Annie, this is precious....and beautiful... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

This is very lovely, written from a heart full of expression. What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |

"we bear the gentle radiance of a lingering touch and endure in the warmth of the imprint forever left upon our hearts" Excellent writing...your words are tender-sweet eloquence. There's such truth in what you've said here. Enjoyed this much. take care, Poeminister< !signature--> "...no single sound too rude upon thy slumber shall intrude, Our thoughts, our souls- O God above! In every deed shall mingle, love." -Poe [This message has been edited by Poeminister (edited 11-29-2000).] |

Annie, this is so beautiful and so worth keeping and that is why it is going into my library. Your best so far that I have seen and that is not to be taken lightly because you have shared many wonderful pieces and I truely enjoy your talent. |

Everyone, I am so overwhelmed by the amount of acceptance in this wonderful forum, I am humbled by the writers here who praise my work. I would LOVE to thank each of you, but I am so taken back by the generous comments I can't come up with enough gratitude to show my appreciation. Thank you EACH and every one of you.
