I passed your car the other day.
Memories coursing, running wildly astray.

And on this cold rainy November Eve.
My heart knows what my mind practices to deceive.

The achiness of wanting you deep inside.
Some days takes everything in me to hide.

I tuck my kids in, finally fast asleep.
I set aside this evening to your memory, I weep.

As tears fall, I've come to accept what will be.
A heart's memory, a reminder you meant something to me.

Acceptance, sometimes a very difficult thing to deal with.

this was VERY lovely...

Unfortunately, too many of us have experienced this very thing....you have my hugs...

Thank you for writing this one, it's very special to me, it's going in my library, it's so sad and yet so filled with love.

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

But the memories are wonderful to have, aren't they my friend...better than having not had at all; I think so anyway.
