Red Rivering through my Valley ever since dad sang the song ever since cowboys came along and the word “sunshine” there belonged a kindred spirit lies there free along the banks of Red River Valley as a child walking the River Kern oft my thoughts would then go turn to a valley of Red, and as thoughts go rivering along in memory just so even sunshine makes the red stand alone in memory’s stead and through the music of cowboy lore that always leaves me wanting more I’ve traveled to many a woven-dream shore and loved from the depth of my core as a kindred spirit lies there free along the banks of Red River Valley the music brings back my Dad’s smile and the rivering of love he had all to carry me through the while eternally making my heart glad so that even sunshine makes the red stand alone in memory’s stead and the memory will river along forever…. Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

good I thought so, it sounds like one that Gene Autry would sing or something like that......I bet my Dad still has it, I'll be seeing him in a couple hours, I'll ask -SEA |

Kari, (Oy missus, does that mean I'm not going to get my smiles, damm, that's no good. I've already got a trade off for them) Smiles go like hot cakes round here you know. Still a wonderful poem, love, now if only I knew where to look for this song. Where's the resident cowboy when you need him? Isn't it typical of my luck, no wonder the sisters call me chaos. I really do need a keeper. Take care Majestic Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning |

Well when I saw the words in the title I thought I was going to get a treat through "Your Valley" but instead I was treated to a wonderful memory of yours about including complete with a cowboy. I am always one to fall for them type of reads as you know. This was wonderful my friend and I too remember the song. Does that give away my age? Awe well, who cares. I love being in my late 20's.
