*hey all. i have been a terrible clod about my appearance around here. i've niether posted nor replied in as much as 2½ weeks. i'm very sorry about that and i will come and read tomorrow when i'll have plenty of time to catch up. until then i thought i'd type up this little ditty. enjoy* *November Leaves* Whipsers of fear take me out of my dreams New thoughts evoked; restitch the world at the seams. Tears under covers... but what do They mean? i woke to this insanity and sought Christianity, the Smoke and the Mirrors... the only one on the planet's me. Teeth grind themselves to death in the dark Cry out from abuse, but you can't see the marks. Through all these trials, i feel God has abandoned me and sometimes i can't believe why all this is happening... i fall in November leaves, and i question what i believe. In this prison i've made from the beauty and hate, What counts is what's real is the heart that does bleed. Open my mind and the window and blinds, as the moon shines her light on the truth that i find. Lies untold and low and behold, the night's honest winds do blow so cold. We stay and we pray and we wait for the gates, sittin around 'til we are judged one day. We wait to be saved and we label it "faith"? All the Yes-Men with their Papal compliance... Does no one remember what's called "self-reliance"? If given a chance, can't we act on our own? Help save ourselves or another lost soul? The innocent, the forgotten, the helpless, and weak... "Just a blessing and prayer, and we trust God will care." So much to be said for the timid and meek. i fall in November leaves, and i question what i believe. In this prison i've made from the beauty and hate, What counts is what's real is the heart that does bleed. Perhaps the good deeds won't land me in Heaven, but at least i feel like i'm earning Redemption. i take the abuse, i cry and i brood- i'd hope and i'd pray for my amazing grace- "God loves me...right?" a weary excuse. Some people lose and never hear the truth: You have control over your own destiny. Run through the maze until your chest heaves and when it gets to be too much why not live, and let's leave? i have been blessed to live this long, living mess. If i must live in unrest, then i think it best to cash in my chips; find my own forgivness. You and me, God, might not see eye to eye. But i'm no longer blind; i'll do what i think is right. In the end when i die, and i'm on the other side, we'll find out together if there was worth in my Life. i fall in November leaves, and i question what i believe. In this prison i've made from the beauty and hate, What counts is what's real is the heart that does bleed.< !signature--> I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said, "I drank what?" Ethan, So nice to see you back my friend. This was a wonderful piece full of some very tough questions we all seem to ask ourselves from time to time. Thought provoking writing. Well done. Lone Wolf Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |

Going through a lot of spiritual tornados here Ethan.....hope you get it all figured out...I know that the Bible says that man was created in God's image...well that would make man a free moral agent wouldn't it..someone who can make decisions on his/her own ... can't blame God if man abuses the privileges given to him...as far as the sick and the hungry go ...they are a result of this state of imperfection we live in...Marge Tindal made a marvelous reply to me answering a poem I wrote about her...about a time when all of mankind will live in peace and happiness.. I know this sounds like a cinderella story but it's really all we have...because man can't really control his own destiny completely there's always been setbacks...but man can choose to try, over and over again...yet the results are always incomplete..the spin offs of our high tech world today are really scary when it comes to looking at nature that supports this planet...I also know that it says in the Bible that "God will bring to ruin those who are runing the earth." But then others say the Bible is a fantasy book that was written by men...I'm not so sure it wasn't inspired!!! Sorry to go on so I just got on a roll there and believe it or not I'm not a religious man. I just think that way.....ethome |

Well so nice to see you back with us and count on the fact that you were missed. This is a very provoking piece for the mind to roll through and I am sure I will be pondering it and reading it again. You have much to figure out in this one but so do we and as if we didn't have enough already, you left us with no choice but to add this one to our plates. |

Very thought compelling poem here. It seems through all of your heartache you have many questions and are looking for answers. All of us must follow our own paths, dear one. The fact that you are asking such questions means you are on a path to find them. May love lead you in your search for truth and understanding. Much love to you from me. Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. http://path2riches.com |

I too, have missed you. And a wow-ee from me on this provocative piece. Quite a little ditty you type out, *smile* I loved the wandering searching in this. But still, we've got to try, yes? Not much point if we don't. Hugs to you, m'friend. |

~No Religion~ Van Morrison from the cd: Days Like This We didn't know no better, and they said it could be worse Some people thought it was blessing Other people think that it's a curse It's a choice between fact and fiction And the whole world has gone astray That's why there's no religion, no religion, no religion here today ***And there's no straight answers Of what this thing called love is all about Some say it's unconditional Other people just remain in doubt Well I cleaned up my diction, I had nothing left to say**** Except there's no religion, no religion, no religion here today ***And they ask what hate is It's just the other side of love Some people want to give their enemies Everything they think that they deserve Some say why don't you love your neighbours Go ahead, turn the other cheek But there's nobody on this planet that can ever be so meek And I can't bleed for you You have to do it your own way**** And there's no religion, no religion, no religion here today And they ask what hate is It's just the other side of love Some people want to give their enemies Everything they think that they deserve Some say why don't you love your neighbours Go ahead, turn the other cheek But have you ever met anybody who's ever been the meek And it's so cruel to expect the saviour to save the day And there's no religion, no religion, no religion here today And there's no mystery, and there's nothing hidden And there's no religion here today And there's no religion, no religion, no religion here today I looked into the sky for my anthem The words and music came through But words and music can never touch the beauty that I've seen Looking into you |

Sad. Powerful! When we find ourselves in this frame...we can only pray. That seems to be alluded to in your piece, even though it's a piece filled with an element of despair. Yes, like ethome, I hope you get it figured out. That's all we can hope for ourselves and others. |

Ethan, What a powerfully soul searching poem. I do believe I am in the same boat you are.. at least the same boat as this poem. You have asked the same questions I find myself asking, and I'm sure alot of other people do. It's a wonderful write, it makes you stop and think, just what excellent poetry is suppose to do. Thanks for sharing this.. it was quite enjoyed and pondered. ~~Tara aka rp25 :o) |

We definitely do not know the secrets of life, but God does know, and there is a reason sometimes we go through things we do. We all question at times it's a human characteristic, There is God that does have all the answers, so keep praying, God answers prayers. |
