I wish to fly away, to stop the pain,
to feel the warmth of the sun,
the chill of the rain.
To be the scent of freshness on a summer's day,
or the whisper of a mist between the mountain ways.
To be the sound of laughter,
the cries of joy,
the smile that takes over one's face.
The security of one's safe place.
To be the love that sits a young heart free,
or the happiness of a message brought on bended knee.
To be a feather drafting slowly down,
as the wind kisses it softly to the ground
To be a flower in full bloom,
to be the dew of a morning's bliss,  
or the butterflies of a stolen kiss.
To be a rainbow of colors shining bright,
or a guardian angel taken flight.
That I shall never ache again,
or wonder why, How, or When?
