days of sun really aren't her
oh sure, they're good for some things
but she'd rather
          have the rain
it's not that she's always sad
it's just that you can do more
          with the rain

you can splash
you can spin
you can slide
you can run through the rain
     feel it run across you
     feel it run with you
that's what she likes
to be one with the rain
to have the water flow through her
     like blood through her heart

the rain gives birth to her words
they fall from her pen like the
          rain from the sky
and all we want to do
is go out on those Rainydays
                    and play. . .

It is so nice to see people who are happiest in their own element, don't you agree? Well done Sven, she will adore this!

I know. Rain can be so inspiring...the only thing I don't like is that the roads get so slippery and I have to worry about my friends who might be driving places...that sucks...anyway Sven this was a beautiful tribute to someone who writes beautiful poetry. Good work!

Sven,

Well done portrait of another of our fellow poets.  You really seem to have a talent for bringing out the best in all of us.  Nice writing.

Startime, thank you for reading my friend. . .

Walt, thanks for that!!!

dreamkeeper, I'm glad that you've gone and found the writers that I've been speaking of. . . glad that you enjoyed. . .

Sunshine, yes it is. . . and isn't that all of us?  Happy here in our element of poetry??

WB, thanks a lot. . . I don't like rain for those reasons too, which is why I try not to drive in the rain. . .

LW, thanks. . . I hope that this series does bring out the best in all of us. . .

How appropriate and fitting for this fine poet.  Thank you, Sven!

What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life.

Sven,
Oh, how I love the rain!  There's a quiet beauty to the rythem of the drops, that you have captured so eloquently in your writing.  May the rain wash away your sorrows, and color the rainbow to your dreams...
          Much love, Elise
