Cryptic message sent from you to decipher it has been a task Many questions linger here left unanswered and unasked Inside this heart of loneliness I cry for the flame you tender Should I take the light you offer give in, give up, surrender? Fear locks this poetic voice words linger quietly unsaid Afraid to find they won’t be welcome my heart ruled by my head If you can find the key to me I welcome the opening of my heart But please, if this is just a game, just stop before you start. I can face this feeling for you with time to be sure it’s real How did you ever know, my friend That is the way I feel? |

Great description of a heart of lonliness with a great big gaurd up around it....but a gaurd that the person with the lonely heart wants to be rid of...very nice writing... I thoroughly enjoyed it.......ethome |

Hi Poet deVine, Words of wisdom spoken here, this is wonderful. Love, Cerenity "God doesn't have to be reminded that we exist. We have to be reminded that He exist!" (Writer Unknown) |

I think that ethome hit it right on the head deVine. . . We want to get rid of that guard. . . to open up again. . . This shows it perfectly. . . ![]() ----------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

*sigh*I truly hope tis not a game played with such a beautiful heart as I see within these words. Such sadness of loneliness mixed with such a hope that love is being offered. *sigh*beautifully written and very heartfelt. Love I leave with you my friend whether it be in your life or of yet the essense of your dreams. [URL=http://path2riches.com]http://path2riches.com |

Thank you for your kind replies...it's wonderful to know I got my message across in this. Hard to say what you feel in poetic verse when you could just come right out and say it!!! |

Sharon...SCREAM IT FROM THE MOUNTAINTOPS...DIVE INTO THE OCEAN NAKED!!!! (I know I've said that before, but I think I just like typing it...lol) This is so demure and sweet, demure, but still full of longing! A lovely verse!!! |

A lonely heart with doubts and fears is one that has a scar or two. Time, that's the key. Good poem, full of heartfelt emotions. Liked it much. Deb |

I hope that they take the time to find the key as you said and that you find the only game you are playing is the one of love romping in the fields of spring. Lovely and tender write from a longing and sincere heart. A life with love will have some thorns, but a life without love will have no roses. author unknown |
