As I stand at the window
Watching the snow fall to the ground
I think about all the times
When the kids were around

We would spend a whole weekend
Baking Christmas cookies and bars
They loved to decorate them
Especially the stars

Then we would sample each kind
Before putting them on a tray
And getting bundled up
To go outside and play

We'd make a snowman
And have a snowball fight
But this year it's different
Because they're no where in sight

You sound like my Mom   She was here for Thanksgiving and said if I did the Christmas cookies without her, she'd never forgive me    (she only lives 45 minutes away) I can't wait to start the holiday cooking and baking!  My Mom gave me wonderful traditions to pass to my children. I love to hear the anticipation in their voices as it gets closer to cookie time! I wish you could have your kids there with you to do that. HUGS   -SEA

I wish things did not go this way for you dj.  I am sure you did what you had to, to avoid something like this from happening.  What went wrong that you lost your place in your childrens lives?  I am sure if you stepped forward, things could be worked out.  I think you know who this is, because....I care.  Take Care, and live a happy life.
