It's my birthday soon The second of December I don't want the stars or moon I want to be remembered Receive well wishes for future years Think of birthdays gone Remind me of the joy and tears My life has brought along I'd like you to recognize The art I gift to life Create praise before my eyes Minimize my times of strife Offer pearls of wisdom And wishes of good cheer These the jewels in my kingdom The things that keep me here And if you can think of it As you raise your glass in toast Recall affection, is a little bit Found in the "American roast" Why do yesterdays remain and todays pass by ...unnoticed? I shan't roast but simply toast a December sister and say Happy Birthday today, many times from now till 12/2 how I wish the best for you! Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Well Happy Birthday Kethry dear, Now you've had another year, Are you tired, bored or down? Are you the oldest in your town? Think of this, it could be worse, Could be a birthday in a hearst, gettin' older ain't so bad, Look at me, sweet old Toerag. Got my health, got some cash got some beer and a tad of stash, Not like some, like Balladeer, Viagra 'scripts good for a year So Happy Birthday kangaroo gal, From your Toerag yankee pal, Have a toast from me to you, In fact g'head and have a few. |

Well, ok, my dear Kethry I'll try hard not to fail ya I didn't even know that they had Birthdays in Austrailia! How nice that you remind me of Your birthday in your rhymes I guarantee I won't forget... You've done it 15 times! How could you be so dastardly? Oh, what a dirty trick! When you put in your birthday suit Does that mean you're in the nick??? I'd like to go on with these barbs But I am in a quandry (Besides, I'm a little rushed right now From doing dirty laundry) The quandry is that I don't want To insult someone who Has come to be so close to me... Aw, darnit! I LIKE you!! You've shown yourself to be so kind And generous to all A man that would insult ya Would be just Neanderthal! No, I'll just raise a glass of cheer On this December two And give thank to the guy above That he gave this world - YOU! Can I roast ya on the barbie instead for dinner? |

I'm a day late (and a buck short~G~) (story of my life ) but this wish from me is not diminished nor less sincere - when I say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY KETHRY may you be blessed with many many more! [This message has been edited by Wilfred Yeats (edited 12-03-2000).] |

I hope you have a happy birthday, Kathry. I think we would all like to be remembered. Thanks to this place, we just may. LW Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
