Thanksgiving’s Over Virginia Salter Thanksgiving’s over so is that it? Will we no longer speak of it? Will we go on now not remembering blessings unfold as gentle spring? Will we claim that pain and strife are what comprise our wanton life? Well, if we do, we’ll plainly see that’s what makes up both you and me. Yet, should we look with opened eyes, we’ll surely find wondrous surprise! That life is good that life is rich no matter where we find our niche. © November 24, 2000 |

Yes, it would indeed be nice should everyone remember to be thankful every day... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Well said, Virginia. Enjoyed reading your poem. I hope you had a great day, yesterday, a wonderful today, and even better tomorrows! -Tier |

Thanks, both of you! I suppose this is a bit 'preachy' but I sat here and it flowed onto the page. Now if I could just apply it instead of wanting a nap when bill-paying and checkbook balancing are calling me. ;o} |

Yes..and we should continue to be thankful each day, not just one day. I'm thankful I'm not out shopping today. |
