HEAVEN IN MY HEART Deep within your privacy, you stand there locked and bound, I see inside, a glimpse of you, and yearn for what I’ve found. A thousand paces left behind, and many more to tread, The key that holds my destiny is somewhere in your head. Your writings show the words you hide, and now I do the same, This poem reveals a lighted truth that sparks this inner flame. Caught in-between a fantasy and all that you reveal, I sit here holding onto these emotions that I feel. Your eyes, your smile, your laughter, is fixed deep inside my mind, I’m scared to hope, because of what the future days might find. Is this the road we wished for, as we stand here at the start ? Or just another window in an ever-breaking heart. I look inside this crystal ball, but clouds are all I see, Covering tomorrow and the way it’s meant to be. At least for now, I’ll hold on to the things I know are real, A vision of a woman that nobody else can steal. Sometimes in life we loose ourselves and don’t know what to do, Sometimes we stand and face up to a feeling that is true, It seems I hold a treasure here, of which I’ll never part, Your face is always heaven in my heart… copyright:alexander:november:2000 Alexander |

Wow. I know that's a stupid word to use for such a beautiful poem but words escape me for some reason. From the first word to that last killer line, this speaks volumes. I hope that the lady you seek is worthy of your tender feelings and that she appreciates the depth of your heart. Thank you for sharing this with us. |

Alexander, the tender shows through...well done... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

I believe I missed your first post but let me welcome you to Passions. This is so moving and emotional without being overly sentimental. It's just a testimony of faith in believing in someone. Well done. What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life. Walt Whitman |

Wonderful, Alexander, great couplet! At least I think it still is even though there's no space between each pair of lines. I'm sure it's because it's rhymed pairs of lines, right? Are you the Alexander that I met at Papa's or Artistry? If so, very good to see you!! Sincerely, Virginia |
