Gentle Woman. ~~Daniel J D~~ Somewhere near Bethleem Came upon the night a gentle woman She had travelled all day on a donkey Joseph, her husband looked for a place to stay And after, he had found a stable And a bed made of hay This gentle woman felt comfortable She was gentle and she was kind She gave birth to save humankind She was the most graceful woman Who ever came upon this earth For this Child she cared Until the day He dared To stand up to a mighty king In the name of the King of Kings As she watched, her son die on that cross The hill on Calvary turned into darkness The gentle woman was there by His side When they took Him down from that cross She helped place Him in a tomb of stone Until the next morning, to find him gone She carried Him after His birth She carried Him after His death She was the most gentle woman ever born. When I look at how beautiful a person my mother is and see how much she cares for her children, I realise how great women are, and take full comfort to know that she prays to the mother of our saviour, that Gentle Woman. Butterflies, It is now 1.45am in Australia as I write this reply. I have been working all night on my thesis. I came upon your wonderful words and could not stop myself from replying to you. Yes she was the most gentle woman ever to tread this earth. Her task of raising the greatest Man to walk upon this earth was not easy, her gentleness came through in the end.
